Yoga: Relax . . . Stretch.....Tone . . . Strengthen

Our   Hatha Yoga  classes  combine stretching, controlled breathing and relaxation techniques to  achieve a quiet, clear mind and general well-being.  This helps reduce everyday stress, develop a strong, flexible body, and helps prevent physical injury in martial arts activities, and other daily activities.

Peacefulness in thought, deed, and action, not only with other human beings, but also with all living creatures, and most importantly with ourselves.

Yoga originated in India; some types are:

Hatha ~ meditation breathing, stretching

Raja ~ meditation (includes Hatha Yoga)   

Bhakti ~ devotional prayer

Jnana ~ discrimination of truth & reality

Karma ~ selfless service to others

Don't just come; come prepared! Here is a list of things to have in each Yoga class:

- Wear comfortable workout clothing
- Bring your own mat and/ or towel
- Remember to remove your shoes before entering mat
- Spend the first five minutes sitting or lying quietly and focus on your breath
- Try to have at least two hours between a heavy meal and class.
